I think that this song means that she has acknowledged the fact that her and this person are two seperate people. Although she has to keep convincing herself by constant repetition of "you're out of my mind" and at some points it even sounds agressive. As if she's fiercely trying to fool herself? No matter what this other person does, they can follow her around, make decisions but they are no longer a part of her.
