I think this song is about how he's on tour or something and he's trying to call his girlfriend but she won't answer. Or maybe she says she's sleeping more, but really she's cheating. And he's really going out of his mind so he comes to the conclusion that she's sick and rushes to her apartment and she wasn't there, so he thought he'd see her at the show that was nearby. But she didn't show, she probably had some excuse but since 'I'm a liar too, ' he probably caught onto her and decided to go to room that night and listen to what happens. He find she's cheating but he knows no one is perfect so he still loves her, and wishes her a happy birthday, sends his love, and is glad to know she really is okay, and will see her again soon.
