I think Alexi Murdoch wrote this song to a girl. A girl that he loves and cares about deeply. She hides how she really feels from the world, but Alexi can she inside her. He see that she goes through life with a smile on her face and making everything seem fine, but in reality at the end of the day, she's in pain and unhappy. She cries and expresses her feelings in private, not letting anyone else see. If asked, she tells everyone she's fine and nothing's wrong. He loves her so that he will be there for her and try to help mend her bleeding heart in any way he can. He wants to help put things right so that he is able to love her with all of his heart. He wrote this song to tell her that he is willing to be her shoulder to lean, and the hands to help her up.
