It's knowing that, even though the person you love is moving far away and you won't see that person for at least a few years, you both still love each other, and when you do meet again, maybe you can still pick up where you left off. That you're never going to forget about each other, and that you'll be in each other's thoughts constantly. Btr has so many songs that go with my life, and they always come out just when I need them. Sometimes they even prompt me to do the right thing. I know exactly what Kendall and Jo are going through.
