Very good song, one can write an essay on the song, and have to slough material. Their is one other aspect forgotten in my first post. The idea that accuser needs to have the moral high ground, and order to judge others. The song is accusing the religion by definition of being the ultimate hypocrites, by enacting policies that aleanated or dichotimized people in the past. A religion that supposed the great uniter, can became the great divider if it has the power to influence states or becames a force to reckon with themselves.

Cry for the Moon is the first song in the "Embrace the Somthers" saga. It pretty much explains the pardoxical nature of the church. Like concealing that the host has cancer for so long, can cause the malignant malfeisance, abuse to metastsize to uninfected, and crucial elements of religion. Faith, devotion, and rigorous furfillment of dogma becames corrorded as people become disillusioned and cynical. The lyrics scream about layers, and layers of deception and misdirection over the millenia. However, the most intriguing cocept is the belief that exclusivity breeds self-rightuousness. The arrogent belef of supriority and the light that extingquishes everything that is vibrant can be nurtured in this incestuouis backdrop. The attempts by the church to buy off people in the sexual abuse scandals, not allowing women to hold the highest post the religion. Its persecution of homosexuality and basic human nature are alarming and straining. However, the truth will come out eventually, even if one clings to the fantasy of being redeemed by the dead.

What no potatoes or corn or cabbage also on the field she rests. How, inconsiderate of the rest of us not use her remains to better use. A cautionary tales of ridicule, humiliation and the rash decisions that we make when we momentarily can't look into the eyes of peers, and to tell them to shut up. Demand the plead them to shut up. So, Eva runs asay in he midst of winter to a rural area, and gets lost. She evidently dies before they find her. I can think a little Finnish girl absonding with her teddy bear, a couple apples, and peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Looking back at her old life, and avowing hever to be belittled again. Touching.

Tarja, Tarja stop making Tuomas scream like a school girl. I think this is a little self indulgent. It kind of like the song by Evanesce, "You never call me when you're sober. Apparently he fell like he was their for her through thick and thin. But, he turns around and she betrays for her own self-interest. He was long teethered to the construits that Tarja voice imposed, and was allow finally allowed to erase the material that was specially was for her. The songwriter was the role he played for her, and it was not good of enough. By assailing him, and critisizing his role in he band created dissension and instabilty. She faile to understand that a band is a collaboration of many people with a discernable leader. Attacking the head of the snake, is an attack on the unity of the band. The song is the symbolic process of cutting down a sickening tree, and allowing healthy competition filll the gap. In this enviornment the strongest, the fittest, and the most adaptable will fill the niche that was liberated from the controls of the dying plant. Annette Olaen was that candidate that fill the spot, and it was suitable that she sung the epologue alone.

I'm truly moved by the depth, and symmetry of the song lyrics. Brilliant, elegant and timeless like the delicate tendrils that sprout the barren earth during the cessation of Winter. It depicts that accaumlative wear, tear of live our life. As we learn the inherent contradiction, and foramlities of living adult live; we lose the pretension of innocence. As we grow old, the romance of simple constructs such as the snow falling, the bite of the cold artic wind or the wonders of the falling leaves in Autumn lose the uniqueness, their mystery. The finale confesses that you can never regain what you've lost, and the world of novelty will always be the domain of children and fools.

I think the video is lateral represenatation to the meaning of the song because it was redempation in death. However, I believe this is can be extrapolated to all kinds of disillusionment. One can say this is What Have You Done Now? Twin, but meaner, viler and more predatory. A person that has a flair, a sense of charm or chrisma, maybe status in society, power, wealth use obfuscation to achieve his ambitions. She realizes the person or institution is a hollow lie that lacks the promise that osentesibly offered in the first place. In this failure, she rejects as she sees the methods employed, or being personally wounded herself. It becomes dog eat dog world. Angel could easily be penace or proponents here mete out justice or punishment. Ted Bundy, or Manson would be good analogue for the villain in this song.

Direct, intimate, and crucifying. Its the powerful message about standards, cliques, and eliteism. A person who fails to realize that the human psyche is fragile when one is constantly subjected to judgements and verbal abuse. Especiallly, idolization from a teacher or a parent. In fact, you can expect misery, dysfunction as a long-term effect. She in the end reflects that we are all human and made from the same cloth. She finds it difficult to balance her disappointment, and hatred with her person philosphy. Even though she's the one picking up the pieces, and forever stigmatized by these psychic scars.

Such emotion tribute to the voiceless minority. The song is about the psychic scars that are inflicted when someone aborts a living fetus. I'm personally pro choice, but Sharon is a devout believer in Christianity. So, I'm concluding that is the repression that women do when they act contraily to their belief system. She constantly see her face, as a remainder of her guilt. Many women that conclude this always wonder what their child looks like, the first time they walk, and all the achievements and milestone attained in their life. Their shame and regret consumes until they break because of building pressure. Like a dam that can't bypass the growing floodwaters, they suffer from an instantaneous mental meltdown, and often need supervision because the internal turmoil is so great.

This song will cut down the mightest. Another, song about the dissoulation of death. Regret feels her loss, about all the things that could have been said, all the things that coud have been done. She reflects backs to those happy days with a bias eye that she everthing she trully need. She pleads for the his memory to stay with her. The memories, the tastes, the feel the tapestry of their life together. However, the process of bereavement is to allow the immediatcy of the memory to fade. So, you don't become a prisoner of the past. The ultimate compromise, she allows the reflexive memory of his extential being in her heart. This will allow her to achieve closure and to go on with her life. Until they meet in the afterlife. So touching in this age of venal greed, and pretty selfishness for somone to recover with dignity.

Songs like this makes wouder if Sharon's parents weren't affectionate enough. It deep to sacrifice your freedom, your livelihood, knowing that daughter will never acknowledge your loss. I get a vivid image of her signig her confession, and turning away from her old life with a sing tear falling from her cheek. Its chilling how relevent to everyday life these are lyrics. Within Temptation's strength is the abilty to project a sincere voice that everyone can relate to some fashion. However, I believe the child is entitle to be bitter and resentful because her "normal" life has been altered forever. However, if she can't make the adjustment to her estrangement, it was all in vain. Because, some of the most horrendous, and dibiliating mental ailiments came from the perceived abandonment of caregivers, or acts of violence and abuse. So only time can tell if her sacrifice paid off.

The song is poigent remainder of a person who has struck with something she can't quite recover from. This could be cancer, and possibly something life threatening. It brutal sincere entreaty about hope derived from an external source, because its from someone that we love or regard as life altering. I affects me much, because she can convey sadness, loss in such a tangible fashiion. In most case this kind of interal idealization would be unhealthy, but if you aids or terminal cancer. Every bit of help from your support system is a plus.

Wow, this song resonates in marrow. It a classic break-up song, where a partner has had enough of a partner self-indulgences. I see post referring to greed as major meaning in the song. However, this song doesn't easily get relinquished to that type-casting. It's about conceit, hubris and narcissism. Only, in a seif-absorb mind does a person fail to see the trees from the forest, or see devout devotion of those who care for them. So, as her needs are not being met, she begging for the man tha drew her for the first place. She constantly get burns, denigrated, mistreated, and debased by the person she upheld. What esperates this little tale of woe, is the acts of infidelity and disrespect. Also it become apparent that her attempts to appease him are failing, because he ingores her for some grander scheme. The gets consummated by the narrator ditching her incorrigible fiancee, and becoming emancipated.

The song is symbolic and progressive. It show the process that drug addiction can erode and consume everything that is important. When I think of the song lyrics about drug addiction, its pretty close to same as Master of Puppets. However, the twist in this song is the mortal factor. It not just about drug abuse, but when people resort to self-medication to blot out their pain. They rather face oblivion at bottom of bottle or the drugs of joints or an empty syringe. However, the type of desponancy comes from depression where this behavior cames naturally. Rather than living in torment they would be numb instead. However, as the curtain closes the narrator realizes that cure is often worse than disease itself. That as one gets entrapped, the addiction gains a life of its own, and difficult to derail. In the end, the narrator chooses life rather then descent into madness and possibly death.
