Shaun could've of been going through a state of mind, where he met a girl which he knew was a loner could never have a chance with, maybe had a one night stand as shortstack127 said but all of the words shaun sung came from the heart and I know personally that's a hard thing to do, If this song was never written then we wouldn't have an example of how easy n hard life can get and If I was shaun I would be proud of myself deeply.
