He has expressed feelings about love touching the cold ground of alienation in society (hood?). The galaxies/suns/satellites are about as far as we go when it comes to describing a 'world'. He expresses the attraction as covering that space like a beeline, finally with breathing room and no longer an isolated point, towards what he thinks is a truly valid object of love. Sometimes it happens that when a creature who has never been petted, is, it gives itself over totally, regardless of the petter. It can be an over-dependent/co-dependent relationship of a sort that leaves the petted off where it started--alone and disillusioned. He wants to squeeze the breath out of the object like he feels his has been choked off. The final stab: It's not likely that he will be remembered by a disingenous lover. Well done! Lady gg is truly doing her artistic thing, transforming real life pain into art. Still paying dues. If I had not heard from this board about a 'story' behind this song I would have just interpreted it to mean that her soused boyfriend was walking out and having indiscriminate s**, giving up the safety of a committed relationship and testing the sometimes diseased waters of promiscuity, leaving her "speechless" and disillusioned and he to "Death and Company". Hard to see it any other way really for me sans some background. The artistic world really does, at times, create odd, beautiful, and cryptic articles: Sheer 'magic'! This is a piece worthy of support for her sainted artistic ego (no meanness intended, but clear evidence noted; and learning from her): She's earned it. I mean, who talks about having her power stolen through he vjj (thanks Oprah). Really! She's been around. Kudos to her continued growth and ours with her! Looking forward as a new fan.

This girl is vulnerable. She's been "through the mill", and he knows it! She had given up and was only nostalgic about past loves. He believes he's her knight, her "open door". The one who truly sees her. If she's wise, she will learn to trust and not just give herself over. That is precious. It takes time: patience. He is already aware of other "pretty faces", he should not have to "put" her first. He should realize she was always first and he was only dreaming about all the "other" unreal (for him) pretty faces. Be wary of those who are doing you a favor! Love finds itself in objects. And people. It is the glue and flow of everythin. One can become a slave that ends-up dashing their self on the rocks of passion and demand; or one can become aware of this, let go and let the lover simply live what they are. Love then, is not hampered by the demands of the personal ego. Contradictions are not tolerated from the ego. "If you (truly) love somebody, set them free!" Not painless, but true to the rare sense of that reality that can happen to us.

Our hands (and feet) reach out for our goals. That's what they represent to our minds. The can be part of our consciousness or not. Once they held their goal and now they are empty. They rebel and call forth a phantom in the person's mind that cannot hide from defenses made up by that mind. They want what they want; the energy of the beloved they got used to. They are grieving and making the whole person see that and grieve also.

Been waiting around till I found out who I really was and what I needed.
