Well, I suppose I'll give this a shot. The most important step in decoding the message is to realize that the metaphorical lyrics are a conversation between the person who has arrived in heaven, and someone else who is already there. The person who was there upon arrival is attempting to reason the new arrival into staying in heaven throughout the song, and I sense a level of affinity from the person who was there before the arrival of the newcomer towards the newcomer. Although the soothsayer sees a perfect heaven, a place no one would want to leave, the newcomer feels that he is still missing something. Something he knows he can find elsewhere, and that something is more important than the soothsayer's perspective of perfect. These are the subliminal messages the majority of you recognize, but couldn't put words to, and skipped over in an attempt to convey your own personal interpretations of the song.
