And if you think about it, it can also be a love song for your children. The 3rd stanza can relate to a teen and how they pull away from their parent, don't trust them, think they don't know anything. But hopefully they eventually come to realize their parent wants what is best for them. As a mom, the moment my children were born, and even before when I felt them first move while I was still pregnant, I knew I would willingly do anything I could for them.
