This song is about a love hate relationship with the music industry. Being trapped in a contract but loving the fame. Despite it all, not being able to leave it. Heard this comment from Tina Arena herself in an interview. The music company's initially seduce you then treat you like sh*t. Although, could really apply to any abusive relationship where the abused person feels unable to leave.
