To me, this song means that everyone is different. That's what makes up all unique! ^_^ What it's saying, is treat others how you would like to be treated, and when God created each one of us, he intended for us to be different and accept that! Not tease others about it! I know from experience how cruel kids are about having glasses or braces, but they shouldn't act like that. One day we'll all be the same, and they'll feel so guilty about everything they've said. I know what I just said was confusing, but if you think about it, it makes sense! (hopefully).

I know I'm the one who posted it, but I'm gonna leave a meaning too! I know for a fact that the song represents Elphaba's situation in the musical, as she desperately tries to save Fiyero from death. It is the most powerful piece in the show, and I believe it represents the show's theme: Wickedness was thrust upon her. No one is born wicked. So, "no Good Deed," shows her giving up. She's lost all things dear to her, Nessa, Doctor Dillamond, and Fiyero (or so she believes) but things will turn out alright in the end. ^_^ Just reading the lyrics won't help you. Listen to the song. It made me cry!
