The trick to figuring out the lyrics to a good song is realizing that every single word the writer has written supports the theme or story of the song. A great lyricist allows for no single superfluous word. For example, with "Maniac" one transcriber thought the lyrics to the second stanzy are "locking rhythms to the beat of her heart, changing woman into life." Not to disparage that version (we all try our best to suss out some murky vocal enunciations) but the word "woman" does not support the theme nor is it correct. The word is "movement" - the woman in the song locks rhythms to the beat of her heart and changes movement (dance being the metaphor here) into life. She lives to dance! It's also a "hard-worn" place of mystery and a "push/shove world." But yeah, this is a tough song to completely decipher and one definitely needs really great headphones for the endeavour. Call me a "Maniac" too, but there you have it.
