I think this song is so true about our president for the last 8 years, George W. Bush. Obviously this song is about him and the things that he doesn't see or comprehend. He screwed us and he "wouldn't take a walk with me" because he wouldn't want to see all the damaged he has caused. The no child left behind line is there because that law has caused more dropouts higher than they have ever been. She uses many different examples of tough times and bad things in order to show how bad things are because of the president. She's basically saying how can the president just sit there and not do anything when he's fully aware of these things.
