It already sickened me that one of my favorite pop/rock singers Michelle Branch has done a total 360 and went country. However, I can totally relate to this song. I went through this situation with people not accepting me for who I am, just by looking at my appearance, not accepting me for who I am on the inside, and you wish you can hide away from your problems. It also expresses someone walking in your shoes, then they go through what you're going through.
So yeah, I'm a country hater, but this song is very meaningful. It's sad when you listen to it, and even just by looking at the lyrics makes you sad.
