I think it gives the whole thing that you don't know what you got till it is gone. Or in this case almost gone. I have a relationship where I have threatened to leave for good because I didn't wanna put it up with him. Well he cried on my shoulder for over an hour because he thought that I had left to Colorado! So, I think that this song means. Don't wait till the end to finally start!
