"I Bet You Don't Curse God" is a stirring reminder about how we approach God. When we want things and don't get them, we get mad at God because he didn't give us "our due", but when things are at their worst, when things are terrible. When disaster strikes, we don't curse God, and she calls us out for those times that we did "curse Him" We pray for help. We request his help and forgiveness.
To me, this song is a reminder that when we talk to God on a regular basis with humility, then in the times that we are at our worst, He will come through. It's also a reminder that God won't give us more than we can handle. The chorus "There's pain, life hurts. There's a thousand things we think we don't deserve. When all hope is lost, when you spend it all and you just can't beat the odds, I bet you don't curse God." speak to that. We tend to forget that God told us he would never hand us more than we can take.
Christina did an excellent job with this song and I'm proud to be a long-term fan. I've been following her since late 2010 and haven't looked back.
