The lyrics 'The time has come for you, to shoot your leaders down, join forces underground' is in relation to a terrorist although Matthew Bellamy (singer) did not wish to use the word terrorist due to its bluntness and the way the protagonist of terrorist didn't the classic model of 'terrorism. '
The song is about finding the strength to tackle the worlds problems and 'assassins' our entreaty to destroy democracy.
