Your parents find out you've been self harming, and they're obviously upset. You swear to them saying "It won't happen again" "I don't know what I got myself into" and "I'm so sorry". Tyler is saying that he knows it's going to happen again, and you're just putting your parents at ease.

I honestly don't know where "from the closet" came from since Pete Wentz is obviously straight along with Patrick but nevertheless, the guy in this song is confused. He's a gay stuck in the closet and he wants to be the girl who is probably have sex with the guy but also wants to be the guy and be straight implying that he is most likely bi.

My friend loves Imagine Dragons so as you can tell she plays the CD this song is on. One day she said it's about love being better if you don't love anyone at all. It sounds confusing but you have to look at the lyrics to understand.
"Love is a Polaroid. Better in pictures." This may mean that love is too hard for this person so he compares real life's love to ones in movies or pictures. In movies love is always perfect and nothing goes wrong and they can depend on each other and so on. "All my life I've been living in the fast lane." He believes that his life is too fast and girls just come and go in the blink of an eye. He believes he is too "fast" for love.
