I must say this is a very good song. The meaning is that the guy cheated on his girlfriend and she said she would forgive him but then things are not the same between them anymore. He tries very hard for her to forgive him but it aint going nowhere so he decide that it would be better for her to just leave him. He does not want to leave her because the whole situation is caused by him.
