I think what this song means is that are you the type to leave when it gets tough or are you the type whos in it for true love and will fight to stay together. That every bump in the road of the realtionship you wont run away you will stick together and deal with it, also that shes not like her friends shes more about taking it slow.
And I love this song cause I can totaly relate.
