This song reminds me of my relationship with my alcoholic mother. Sad to say. Of all the lives she's ruined, she continues to ruin mine on a daily basis. I let go, then I have to remember she's my mother, I give her another chance and she kills me all over again. Who does she think she is?! Empty promises for 28 years, torturing myself and my children. No matter what the meaning or what the song symbolizes for you. Its still very touching. Thank you Christina.
