To me, this song reminds me of my first love. We met when we were 10 years old and had our first kiss. We dated again at 15, 17-21 and he is and will always be the love of my life. I am married, have three children, am happy, but when I see him, my heart drops. I've told him, you will always be my boo. My heart. The love of my life.

The meaning of this song is about being in love with another person, but having obligations with another person you love and can't just up and leave. I personally know, b/c I am married with three children, was very much in love. My first love came back around and made me question my entire life. B/C that first love feeling is something you don't share with anyone else. But I made a commitment with my husband and promise. To me, that's what this song means.
