I think that this song means he kind of feels alone But isn't alone. It is like a call for help some kind of problem is going that they can't fix and don't want others to know It's a secret. Giving the presents like they loved someone but that person stoped loving them back (my head keeps saying no)--Like I won't stop searching trying to get her back. They also feel excluded like once that person left it was like holoness in which left them with themsleves. Thatwhat I think about the song.
