This song to me describes a girl who knows that being with this one person is what's best for her. She has walls built from being hurt that she keeps doubting and keeps walking away from him and coming back and he always takes her back. She wants him to see through her walls so he can handle all her insecurities. It's easy to give up then to go through something that could end up as heartbreak. She knows deep inside that home is in his arms but she's so scared to get hurt and let go and just let it be.

I think this song could mean what she says about leaving darkness behind, but the first time I heard it the only thing that came to mind was her and the illuminati. It's obvious from her videos she is a puppet of theirs I feel this since she is in love with "judas" who betrayed jesus, she loves "them" because they brought her fame, money and everything she wanted but she knows it's wrong. I made this account to say this song is just awful. Besides the simple, generic nature and generally terrible lyrics Katy perry has the of the most obnoxious voices I've ever heard, anyone who likes this song sorry but your dumb. I swear everytime the just dance 2 commercial comes on with her horrendous singing babey your A fiirrreewooork! Come on let your colooors burst! I want to shoot someone. Maybe every time it comes on ill shoot a katy perry fan, just to accomplish something productive for the sake of music. On my observation in this music video, She could either be wishing to be with an alien. Or she is so hypnotized by this one particular guy because he isn't like all the others, so she is comparing him to everything other than a normal human being. Devil, angel, alien. He opened her eyes and she is saying that she is ready to be with him. Maybe he is more "evolved". Hence the different dna reference. (look up dna activation for more information). She is saying that her relationship is transcendental and on another level because it's nothing like the "normal". It's a deeper kind of love. She feels for him so deeply that she would do anything to be with him. Hence the risk it all reference. She trusts him and feels so deeply for him that she is even willing to be his "victim".
