    I lost my Mother about 2 years ago, and lately I have been going through a very hard time. Thank God that she taught me about God and his son Jesus, but I really felt like I had no one on Earth that I could trust since she was gone. Last night I dreamth that I was sionging this song to my Mother, and I sang it to her with such force, admiration and love. My Mother listened with intensity, and when I had finished singing to her she ran to me and held me in her arms with such intense that I woke up in tears. After I had wiped the tears from my eyes; I felt a new sense of strength, and love. I know now that my Mother is looking over me, and is with me in spirit. Thank you are Kelly for creating a medium in which my Mother was able to communicate with me.

    Whitney. You turned to him through song for help and I truely feel he answered you. I'm not a believer myself but listing to this song and admiring your voice for so long, listening to your words. He truely answered the hidden messages you wrote for him within this song.     I think this song is about when you have hard times and you just don't know what to do and you have just given up on hope You look to him because you know that he has the power to make things better Times like that are really hard sometimes people can't eat can't sleep or anything. Sometimes there just too depressed to talk about it and it's not a really good feeling. But that's why are Kelly wrote this song.

    Feeling hurt and pain can sometimes take you to a place that only you can go. In order to get out, we cry out for the intimate help from our god. This song simply sums it up, she had given it to god and she was telling him that she wasn't strong enough to endure life without him. I wish she could have kept hanging on. Lisa rip whitney - we will never forget the sound of your voice.

    So touching, very fresh and so deep I have never cried in my heart like I have done listening to you Whitney. The world really miss you. Should have still been here to lift souls and burden but God prefers you there. Home is where you really belong, your voice is always fresh. RIP.

    There is hope. I believe the song was written to reflect belief in god. But in addition to god I hope we all have someone we can turn to when we feel despair or that we just don't know what else to do. Talking things out with god can ease your soul, clear your mind and warm your heart. And there's nothing like a good, tight, warm hug from someone who cares.

    Amidst lifes hurt and pain, sorrows and trouble, in the moments that I am less than my best, and suffer a great fall- when I am lost as to the way, the what, the who, the last thing I often do is the first thing I should have done. I look to the lord! It is them pain is eased, tears subside and are dried, vision becomes clearer, stregnth to rise one more time is found, and great hope and peace is found as I roll it all on the only one big enough to handle it all-god! That's what I look to you means to my heart and being.

    To me the song is saying, I gave my best, iv'e made mistakes, I'm cast down sometimes, judged and mistreated, my soul is tired I need rest, lord shield me from my enemies that are tearing me down. I turn to you lord because you will give me that open door that will take me from the pain and hurt when I have no more strenght to fight because I believe and trust in you god almighty!

    I bought whitney's album when it first surfaced. Because of her untimely demise, this song is even more close to the heart. I found myself weeping because the song seems so prophetic concerning her life, her struggles, her battles and finally her death. God help us to live our lives that would bring you glory and would testify to a life of righteous legacy. She left her mark on the universe. What are we leaving behind?

    The breathe (word) with which You've enlightened me has accomplished what you sent it out to do. (I am Left without a cause). There is nothing else to do (I gave it my all) the fight is finished. Don't know if I won or lost nevertheless though my head is high I am completely humbled so if You would please lighten my burden, set free my soul and guide me through the veil. Pick me up and carry me far away from this life. Let Your glory fill the place. (I need you to shine on me).

    I truly believe that this song is a true testiment to whitney's mindset at the time; while her lefe and career were both once again on the mends. Through these lyrics she becomes transparent to the rest of the world; displaying all the emotional turmoil that she was experiencing. She let us know that inspite of everything, she never gave up on her faith and the fact the god had not foresaken her. Truly, she loved the lord!

    I went through so much trying to find the peieces to feel whole for years and I finally found my faith and that is the only thing that kept me going and ultimately it made me feel complete when I began an intimate relationship with god, in this song I believe it's saying that, you can't take on the world alone so trust god to lead you, specifically when you feel you have nothing left of your self to give, open your heart, let go and let god.

    Cissy should have used ' I look at you' as ms. Houston casket was taken out to the heavens, instead of ' I will aways love you 'i feel this was whitney's true feelings and love. However, cissy still needs what would be in her own interst, if you know what I mean. And I just want to add, god bless ms. Crawford. You are and always be a true friend!

    My strength is found in the lord who gives me daily breathe to go on one day at a time. I can not fail to look to the hills from whence cometh my health. My health comes from the lord who made both heaven & earth.     Looking to that special "you" as implicated in the song would mean none other than our lord and savior. For the married woman to stay under christian authority, she looks to her husband. When the husband is out of line concerning the word of god, the wife is still covered by the blood of jesus. Rip dear one, for he has heard your prayer and seen your tears.     She knew in her heart the only one that could help her trhough the pain and struggles she was facing was god. I feel she was tired deep down in her soul. She had given her all, but at some point she started giving up the fight because she couldn't get back to the place she use to be or the person she was before the adversaties came. The person that could sing so beautiful, that person that gave meaning to a song.

    She was crying out for help from god. She realized she made poor choices that led to her regret. She wanted to come back but it was a real struggle. She look to him for help her strength was gone and she couln't do it on her own. She was tired but she still look to him. We all have something to struggle with in life some of us are stronger than some. God took her for a reason she looked to him for help out of her situation and he delivered herout of it. It is painful but she is resting in peace. No more struggles everything is gone. God make peace with her soul. He will judge her for the goodthings she did not the bad. She is resting let man hold on to her past she is forgiven by god that is why she look to him.
