Tim McGraw – Live Like You Were Dying lyrics
He said I was in my early forties
With a lot of life before me
When a moment came that stopped me on a dime
I spent most of the next days
Looking at the x-rays
Talking about the options, talking 'bout sweet time

And I asked him when it sank in
That this might really be the real end
How's it hit cha get that kind of news
Man, what'd you do (he said)

I went sky diving
I went rocky mountain climbing
I went two point seven seconds
On a bull named Fumanchu. And I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
And gave forgiveness I'd been denying
And he said some day I hope you get the chance
To live like you were dying

He said I was finally the husband
That most the time I wasn't
I became a friend a friend would like to have
And all 'a sudden going fishin'
Wasn't such an impostition
And I went three time that year I lost my dad

Well I finally read the good book
And I took a good long hard look
At what I'd do if I could do it all
Again... And then

I went sky diving
I went rocky mountain climbing
I went two point seven seconds
On a bull named Fumanchu
And I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
And gave forgiveness I'd been denying
And he said some day I hope you get the chance
To live like you were dying

Like tomorrow was a gift
And you've got eternity to think about
What you'd do with it
What did you do with it
What did I do with it
What would I do with it

I went sky divin,
N' I went rocky mountain climbing
I went two point seven seconds
On a bull named Fumanchu
And I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
And I watched an eagle as it was flying
And he said one day I hope you get the chance
To live like you were dying
To live like you were dying
To live like you were dying
To live like you were dying
To live like you were dying

My mother died at 43 from breast cancer and I am 43 years old now and I too have been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and graves disease. I had just started school and wanted to get that degree finally now that my kids are grown and I lost my job. I was trying to get in the army at 40 when I found out that I had cancer and that dream of army was gone. Life stopped on a dime. It takes money to do anything but I would do all these things if I had the money to do it any of these things at all. I haven't done anything and all I want to do is to see the states just once to drive across the states and back. Everything is so much more beautiful if you lived like you were dying. Thank you, tim.

He saying not to wait til you're dying. Do those things now be special to thise closest to you love deeper be sweeter. Look around you and take the time and see what you normally do not. Have fun now and love like you were dying. Make amends with those you need to. Don'e leave any loose ends. Handle your business the things that you feel guilty for having done; to just fix them. Say those things that should have been and/or should be said as if you will never be given a chance later to say them. Live like you were dying. I can relate I am dying I have stage 4 breast cancer.
