This song is about a girl going through a hard time. She's different. "she never was the best yeah at following the trends stayed one step above the rest" even though her world is crumbling and crushing her, he can see that she's still trying her best to keep it together. She has this wonderful passion, and he hopes she'll have the courage to let it burn. She has this incredible expression, and he hopes that she'll let it out loud enough for the world to hear. He wants her to know that she will, one day, show the rest of the world that she made her dreams come true. He wants her to know that she's just 17 and these hard times will pass, because she's strong. He's also telling her that it's ok to relax and let her guard down, otherwise nobody will ever see this extraordinary person that she really is. If she stays true to herself, seeks the path, and then follows the path she finds her mind already knows, she won't be stopped from achieving her dreams. He wants her to know that, in the end, she will be ok.

I believe he is saying that. She is only 17, she is young and even though she has her whole life ahead of her he can already see there is something extraordinary in her that cld make a difference in the world. He believes she will be all she is meant be and the weight of the world or noone can hold her back from shining. He is reminding her to listen to her heart so she will be capable of changing the world! :) He believes in her.

To me it means your just seventeen, you've got your whole life ahead of you. Sure you don't have the best life, or maybe even one of the worst lifes ever, but keep holding on someone will save you, and it'll get better. Just don't live life holding back, do what you want, live your life, and forget about your problems, cause if you don't you'll just always wonder what if.
