The Brilliance is a band made up of David Gungor and John Arndt. Gungor and Arndt grew up together in Marshfield Wisconsin. Their music evolved over the years from liturgical art, to peacemaking protest music, to focusing on music that inspires empathy. The band began in 2010 with Gungor in Tulsa, Oklahoma, leading worship services at a church, and Arndt coming from Austin, Texas. The two would move their home bases to New York City for Gungor and Chicago for Arndt.
