The song is set to a marching army and children chanting. The next generation of the world are the army marching together.
"kings and queens and presidents" verse - who the entire song is addressed to.
"they say nothing etc" - prime ministers making false promises, denying what they say and pointlessly fight amongst themselves.
"through talking heads that took liberties" - adverts with talking head about how they've sorted all their debt with a magic scheme, which in reality gets you even more debt because humanity is greedy etc.
"there will be lots for them to talk about" - they'll be looking at this world they've been born into and will think the very same opinion.
"what you looking at, you wanna bit of that" - youth lingo.
"mirror, mirror" verse - how everything now is based on a "won't sell unless it's being modelled by a semi-naked woman" notion, forcing children to grow in a world of a pure material culture.
"because it's up hill and against the wind" etc - the next generation has been completely neglected, who are going to have to mop up the previous generation's money crisis by living close to poverty, it's already written.
"we're not sure where the fallout blows" - don't know where the next riots are going to be "but we all know there'll be trouble when the kids come out".
"out on the street tonight" verse - it's going to be violent, it's going to be a struggle. There's going to be violence but at the end there'll be peace.
The sound effects at the end of the song support this, with the sound of the marching army, then the violence, then the peaceful world.
Oh yeah, pretty sure there's going to be trouble.

"The whole system of living will be changed, people will learn to control their unknown mental abilities and as a result of that, a big part of technologies will not be needed any more, we will get "everything" by ourselves, possibilities of human is unlimited... "there'll be trouble when the kids come out" - The kids will bring the new information, AND there will be lots for them to talk about, because it's all wrong for now... "

Ich glaube dass die menschen von heute sich später mal vor ihren kindern verantworten müssen was sie heute falsch gemacht haben. Atomkraftwerke die in die luft gehen usw. "leave your thoughts and save yourself you fool" ich denke man soll sich da nicht so sehr auf die wissenschaft und logisches denken verlässt, sondern das was man sieht und unvermeidlich ist, wenn man nicht die augen verschließt. Und man soll sich dann selber und damit auch die ganze menschheit retten wenn man die welt rettet. Also ein appell an die umweltkatastrophen.
