    When she says that she's prayin that she won't call cause it's just another call from home and he'll get it and be gone, tells me she is the other woman and finally gets the courage to stand up for herself in the end because she realized she deserves better than a man that won't leave his wife. Though I related this to my life when I was the wife being cheated on. Found my husband was living with another woman when we were seperated, telling me he was living with "Tom". We were still trying to work things out, seeing each other. When I found out he was living with her, I told him to listen to this song. That's how I ended it with him and filed for divorce that same day.

    To me this song means- a woman and a man are soul mates and having an affair but he's married and won't leave his wife even though they are meant to be together. Then she tells him to stay with his wife even since him always gong back to her and it gets too hard. I think the moral is be careful who you fall in love with and love is hard and painful. Although they are not together and are not even having an affair it reminds me of Elliot and Olivia on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit because although they have never admitted their love and Elliot is married that is what their relationship is like- for me anyway.

    I think it can be interpreted both ways. It could either be she's the wife and she is asking her husband to stay or she is the other woman and she's asking him to stay with her and leave his wife. Either way she is tired of waiting and she doesn't like be used.

    I think of something totally different. My husband, who I have been married to for 4 years, has a mistress. We were high school lovers, everyone thought we would marry. We were always together, from the time we were barely 15 years old until the middle of our high school senior year. He always had this problem even back then, and now we are 48 years old. I knew better when I was a naive kid, and I walked away from him. He has the same mistress - it is his addiction to drugs and drinking. Twenty-five years later, I wanted to recapture that dream. I forgot to factor in the mistress and how I felt then and now. It has been hell and heaven rolled into these four years.

    The narrator of the song is a married man's mistress. She loves him and she wants him to herself and is pushing for him to leave his wife. When he won't do that and he keeps going back and forth between the two women, because that is what he is accustomed to doing and has no real reason in his mind to change it, she is getting frustrated with the whole thing. During the time that he is with his wife and she is alone, she takes the time to realize that she does not have to be the "other woman" anymore and she can find a better situation for herself. She then at the end of the song, she tells him to stay with his wife. She took the attitude that if he could not make up his mind as to which one to be with, she was going to do it for him.

    She is telling him to stay cause she really loves him and she dose not want home to go but He wants to go he tells her that there will come a time he will leave her arm and forever be in mine she says but she dosenot think thats the truth and she dose not like being used and she is there of waiting

    Well, seriously, like dr. Phil and every expert on the planet will tell you, if he cheats with you, he'll cheat on you. In my situation, the mistress thought she was his special side thing. What she didn't know (or care about), was that she was one of 5. I didn't findout about the others until years later if you're going to indulge a cheater, you deserve every ounce of anguish coming your way.

    This reminds me of me and my ex boyfriend. We broke up, he got a new girlfriend, but yet I still had feelings for him and he told me he still cared about me. He gave me hope thinking there will come a time again when we would be back together and he'd no longer be with his current girlfriend. He almost taunted me, telling me to just wait for him until they broke up. He told me he didn't want a girlfriend and made me think that he really did want to get back together. We would secretly spend time together when his girlfriend was busy, and she would always be calling him and he would have to leave me. And I would be again sitting at my house all alone again. This song makes me cry because its almost as if its a story about my life.
