My family and my experiences with my brother.
Last summer he came hope on a bus (apparently a friend and his friends mother put him on a bus to send him home to us-his family). We all knew he had a problem with drugs, but were never able to get threw to him. Now he's to the point where he can't function in the world for even the most basic tasks. We all would like him to go to rehab, because that's what he really needs, but there's no use since he doesn't want to change, doesn't think he needs to change.
It rips our mother appart to watch him. I rearly see her cry but when she's upset about him it takes her so long to recover. She can't do anything else to help him. None of us can. We could bleed our hearts and souls to him and he still doesn't seem to see.
My mom was the heard this song first and told me of how it reminded her of him. So I came to find out and yes it is everything we've been pained with in one beautifully done song.

This is for Briannajoyce. If my opinion matters to you at all. I would suggest that as long as your brother is safe, not going to hurt himself & kept an eye on. Do the least possible for him! Let him function how he "thinks" he can & do not bring up rehab. In time, when he has more trouble getting by, he will realize on his own, that he does need rehab! I say this from personal experience. Someone I was close to & it took a long time, but he finally realized he needed rehab & to this day, he is still clean & sober! The least we tried to tell him that we loved him & he was hurting people close to him, (while everyone was doing everything for him) When we stopped & backed off & he realized he had to fend for himself. In time, he did realize on his own that rehab was the answer! I wish you & your mother well. Keep your chin up! "when you hit rock bottom, there's only 2 ways to go!!!" Right?!?!? Take care of yourselves first. He'll realize it in time! Best wishes & my prayers go out to you! :) One day at a time. Love, Mystical_3.
