I can feel the sadness within his heart. It is so amazing how a person can write a song for the one he loves hoping that she will comeback to him through his sincere sad songs. It's great. Like this qoute.
"It hurts when you lose something very important to you. It also hurts when you lose it unknowingly.
But it hurts the most when you wanted to save it.
But didn't know how.

I think this song is about a guy who did something wrong to his girlfriend which made her leave and he is trying to explain in this song that if someday they come face to face with each other again he'll make things better.
"and the tear in your eye, and your calm hard face make me wish that i was never brought into this place".
Had he known that he will just play the emotion of the lovely girl, he would not have her as his girlfriend. Maybe he's in a state of repentance here.

This song is sooo good. It makes me sad tho. Its a wierd tho. It makes me sad and happy at the same time. When I'm sad I listen to it and it makes me happy. I think it means that we need to be happy and not try to be what we arent. Because someday we could be gone and if we waste our lives on something then we wont be able to do everything that we need to. So we need to be ourselves and just try to live our lives as if its our last day.

It meanss. Your in love. And you wanted to know what it was like. To be together for a while. [didn't you wanna hear. The sound of all the places we could go]] And then it tellss. That, you have to let someone goo. And you don't want to. But you don't think that you can. And your trying to get that other person, to realizee that. And you don't want to be here anymore. Bieng togehter. Meanss. That you don't want it to end. And yo ulove that feeling so much. That intense pashion feeling of always and forever. That you konw your there, when that person's wrong. And the third verse of the song. Explains alot. This is a great song. I love all of the secondhand serenade songs. They explain about True love. And feelings of many different kinds. I can realate to all of them.
