For me, this is about walking by faith and not by sight. Trusting in God, because he sees the big picture when you don't. Whether things look good or bad, the situation may change at any turn, and that's not something we humans can anticipate. Instead, we should turn to God, the One who sees all and can guide us through the valley of the shadow of death. I always listen to this song when I feel overcome by worry and dread over the future. There is an end to both good and bad times. Only God holds the future in His hands. This song reminds me to seek my solace in Him.

Life is uncertain, but Jesus is constant, God's love, mercy, and grace can always be counted on to take us through whatever rough places in life. Today, my heart hurts for the loss of Daniel, a young man we houses for a couple of years. I struggle to understand why, but I am comforted in knowing he now holds the hands of his Heavenly Father.
