Pink Floyd – Another Brick In The Wall lyrics
Hey! teachers! leave the kids alone!
All in all you're just
another brick in the wall.
All in all you're just another brick in the wall.

We don't need no education
We don't need no thought control

No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave them kids alone
Hey! teacher! leave us kids alone!
All in all you're just a another brick in the wall.
All in all you're just a another brick in the wall.

-smooth guitar solo-

"Wrong, do it again!"
"Wrong
, do it again!"
"If you don't eat yer meat, you can't have any pudding. how can you
Have any pudding if you don't eat yer meat?"
"you! yes, you behind the bikesheds, stand still laddy!"

Mark Twain said it best: "Don't let school get in the way of your education". Society uses rules to build a predictable structure, a structure that can hold the weight of the ambitions of few, for the price of the dreams of everyone else. The rules reinforce the reality of today, and people do not agree with punishments induced by prejudices, and consternations. They are the individuals, we, the students, are the ones, breaking a wall of stern followers, and rule educators.
There is right and wrong in the world. But noone needs a wall built to set them apart. Fear makes walls. Fear of failure, fear of a better way.

I have listened to this song in the context of the other songs that make up the story of "The Wall". The meaning of the song, of which the posted lyrics here make up only a part, is not what many think it to be; one of shrugging off the limitations imposed by authorities and going your own way. The "wall" of which the authority figures are just another brick of is the wall that the protagonist has built up around himself as a shield from a world that hurts him. His cruel teachers, his lost father (lost in a war when he was very young), the taunts of other children. This was compounded by his mother, who channeled all of her own fears and desires into him, helping him build his wall. The wall has grown so tall that not only can nobody else get in, he can't get out.
Each brick in the wall further isolates him (and by extension, each individual, building up walls between us all).

I think its the bad image most teachers put into our minds by teaching us by the stick. Teachers do need to leave the kids alone and not hurt them in any way. Trying to teach good things by being bad to the children is no teaching. Such tactics are only meant to be used by the police on the criminals and not by the teachers on the innocent children.

Its all to do with Marxism, anyone that's studied sociology will understand what I mean, its trying to say that education is brainwashing children into what the bourgeoisie want, making sure the working class stay working class. Education passes its self off as to be benefiting to each child when its only benefiting the middle class.

I never liked school because of the teachers and when I heard the song I felt in Sync. Reminds me of the old saying I was born intelligent but was education ruined me. The song is catchy and one of the greatest anthems of the people in the age group of the 40s and 50s and the present generation too. This song will not die and so long live Pink Floyd.

I think the song is about how the government likes to control us and force their ideals on us. The kids represent the people and the teachers represent the government. The kids (the people) are forced to do things the teachers (the government) wants even if what they are forcing is not needed or some of the kids don't like it, they see the kids (the people) as inferior to them because they lack power therefore there just another brick in the wall to them. (also when the lyrics " no dark sarcasm in the classroom" is supposed to mean no making fun of government officials and the lyrics "teachers leave them kids alone!' is supposed to mean the government needs to leave the people alone and to stop controlling us ) This is of course my opinion.

They were trying to say that we all land up being mindless, as our creativity is suppressed by the very world or instituions that are meant to encourage it. Think back to english class, the teacher would say what do you think this means. And when we gave our answer it was wrong because it didn't conform. This applys to the real world to, how many of you out there actually enjoy what you do or are you just following the pattern that was set out for you by your parents, spouses or bosses?

I have been wondering since my high school about the content we studies. Let's, take into account the History imparted in school to university. Al the books that's we studies are bias to the British. Why no one have ever try to highlight both side of the coin and completely ignore the other side of the coin?
Well, I feel the bias is toward the might Crown of Britain. I began to question and I feel that if you are strong, have the money, you can be an angel like, where there will be none to questions.
Looking into many Authors from our text, they are mostly from the Free Mason Society.
Continuing on my quest for an answer, I got bang, here is all the answer. The world is run by the Illuminati Corporate society.
Now, I have no doubt why they have to impart false. Well its simple and clear. They want to mind control the people.
I believe that Pink Flod does write it lyrice in a kind of parable, and they know too that we are being deceptive by false education.

Education itself contradict itself, Science and Math contradict itself. According to Science we live on a Ball Earth, where as using Math formula, it's impossible to imply on Globe Earth. Is Angle of Elevation in Geometry is wrong or is science is wrong?

Science told us, the sun is 93 millions mile away from earth, where are the sun rays when calculated with the help of Angel of Elevation using geometry, surprisingly it show the Sun cannot be more than 4 thousand miles.

Why all time false news on BBC and CNN?
In short, for the benefit of their Govt and to mind control its people. Well many people accept it as gospel truth what they are being feed and does not have the courage, ability to even raise a question, but to accept it.

I believe the Pink Floyd is talking about the Great White Wall and False Education imparted world wide to mind control people. Yes, they know too since a decades back.

I think this is where my username comes in: Society sucks. It's all structured to the extreme, and it's not only creating mindless little robots, but it's also preventing any actual learning from happening. Children in this kind of school system have their creativity outlawed, and are being shaped into stupid little things to be shipped off into the real world where- guess what?- the exact same kind of thing will happen. The children need to just be children, and not have to worry about "did I get this homework done" or "better not get on teach's bad side." This song really reminds me of the book 1984, and the Hitler Youth: it's just conformity, and this is the only way they can protest against it. "Education" meaning what they pass as education in a lot of these public school systems. They're saying, "don't tell me what to do and force me to conform to this dull social system!" Can't wait til I'm out of school.

By carefully analyzing and studying the true meaning of this song, I will officially tell my opinion as an highly educated person, in order to respond to desperate need of this site to write my own meaning. My expert opinion is what they're trying to say by the phrase ' we don't need no education ' is that we don't need no education. But I do not claim yet. Anyway, this song ruless: d

    Hi its me again.
My meaning 2 the song is we don't need no education or thought control so the kids are getting angry and are throwing bricks in the wall and there telling the teachers to leave the kids alone and that we don't want to go school because we don't need no education or thought control but the govermant make us go school because if we don't our parents will get in trouble and wen they say no dark sarcasm in the class. Room I think it means dat all the chilredn are bored and tired and at the end der talking about food because they force us 2 eat the food.
