    I had never heard anything but the original sang out of church hymnals. The first time I heard it I was floored. I always that the original was one of the most powerful songs ever, but now that I have listened to Michael W. Smiths' rendition it has moved me even more. I listen to the New Hallalujah cd continuously. I will set this song on repeat and listen to it several times.
