God with us means that god, in the form of jesus, left heaven to walk with us and make a way for us to always be with us through the cross (if we accept what he did and allow him to be our savior). To follow up, he sent the holy spirit so that he could continue to be with us always while on earth, once he left earth in human form. Therefore, when he came to earth as a baby, he was known as emmanuel which means god with us. :-) it began and continues eternally. See matthew 1: 23.

I can't help but sing praises to god, for he has freed me from the chains of death. My heart wells up in humility, and thankfulness, and awe of him. He resides in my heart, not because of anything I did or deserve, but because of his mercy and grace I am saved! I am made new with his strength. I can't contain my love for him, my heart is overwhelmed in gratefulness and my desire to praise and gloryify him.
