Rust In Peace... Polaris is a song about Nuclear Missiles. The song is a story, and this particular story is told from the perspective of a nuclear bomb. This bomb's name is Polaris. The bomb is the god of the land. It rules all. The meaning behind it is that nuclear warfare is terrible. It explains the effects of fallout, disease and death. "The warheads will all rust in peace." This line is about just that: the hundreds of nuclear weapons that have been made, will never be used. They will simply rust in the silos, while humans cower in bunkers and shelters, under fear of the world leaders. The world leaders have all the power. Even America, if it wanted, could bring the world to its knees with only a few launch codes and button presses, and people would have no power.
