Love this song, and just Lifehouse period! I think this song is about a guy who's found God, finally, and falling in love with him, not a girl. (Desperate for changing, starving for truth) Maybe "I'm closer to where I started, chasing after you" is meaning that he drifted away from God and is coming back to Him, giving Jesus everything freely and not sure of what will happen because of it, waiting for God to reveal his plan to him!

I guess it's about a guy who finally realizes that he has outgrown his emotions for a former love of his life because a new one unexpectedly turned his heart 360 degrees. He remains uncertain though of how things will turn out but he is hopeful for a positive outcome. He probably felt dejection before. Now, he'll pursue happiness no matter what it takes. This time, with his new found love.

This song is a conversation with God. Think prayer/modern day Psalm. He is a Christ follower. He already knows that Christ is the truth, life and the way, but he's struggling with something and giving this hurt/pain/struggle to over to God - He is not talking about "religion! Christianity is NOT religion! It is the polar opposite! Christianity does not = "do more, try harder, be better". Following Christ is saying "i accept this gift of grace. Thank you for loving unconditionally. I know I'm going to screw up and yet you will never let go. Agape love."

This song is written from the perspective of a person who has openly found all faith in God and is now willing to give their entire life experience to God's will. He will now only walk in God's plan and nowhere else, I'm standing here until you make me move!

My interpretation of this song, is about finding God. I hear this song all the time on the Christian station, and I feel like it's about someone who's looking to be saved.

"Desperate for changing, starving for truth." That means he's looking for redemption, and he's wanting God. In the second verse when he says he's feeling incomplete and then line "I'll take your invitation, you take all of me." That means that we're all born sinners. When you take God's invitation of letting him in, that means we are reborn. Even if you sin as a Christian God still loves you the good and the bad. Once you let him in, you're no longer a slave to sin. That's why I love this song. There is more of a biblical meaning than a love song. The are labeled as a "Christian Band" but the lead singer said that they're not a Christian Band. He however is a Christian.

This is a song about Maicie. A girl that he has been talking to and he is giving up everything that he has held onto even though he has only had one moment with her. He is willing to admit that he is incomplete and wanting to be with her without knowing completely what he is diving into. This song is straight from the heart and that's why I feel that it is about how this one girl gave him a moment to see how incomplete his live is without her, and nothing else in the world can change his mind about Maicie.

It says that he's on the edge of something. Looking for the truth but even if he's hanging, he's still holding on even though it causes him to let go. Thou the situation is not that quite good he fell in love more with the girl, so there's no reason for him to be afraid cause as he said there's nothing else to lose as long as he has her.
