    "It was you and me, against the world."
    I think, this line sums up everything in the song- she's singing about a lost love, a broken relationship, because it *was* what they had. And they no longer have it now. It's over. Evidently, it's about the end of a relationship- but it also goes much deeper than that, because she's questioning herself on whether she was the cause of it. Or whether she's just "a fool" because he promised her forever- but he couldn't do it. They all can't, in the end.
    Something we can learn from here- they all don't keep their promises in the end. Be strong, be the best you can be with yourself- and you deserve so much better than a bast*d who only lies to you.
    'Unbeautiful' is gutwrenching, because it's all about the past and mistakes of the past. One can't move on if one can't forget. And the truly tragic thing is that the girl always feels as if she's become "unbeautiful".

    I think it means that when your with someone then you feel like you can get through anything that steps in front of you. But when you break up you feel weak and your like its all over with and what you've said is what you have to say. And when you try to win them back you realize that you actually don't want them back because it has all been a lie or just not worth the trouble and its soo hard to let go of what you've had for so long and to think things would be better if you were back together. But sooner or later you will realize that they just aren't worth it.

    I think the meaning of this song is when you give ten years of your life to someone and realize that seven of those years were lies. Still to this day I ask myself where I went wrong when everyday he would assure me that everything would be ok that he would always be there. Making me believe that those words "I Do" actually meant something when all they were words with no meaning.

    I love what everyone's said on this. Because I feel exactly the same way about my exboyfriend. We broke up less than a week ago and its killing me and I'm usually really good at getting over people. But it's like I can't. I usually love talking to new boys. But it seems like I can't even do that. I don't feel anything else with other guys. All if feel is how much I miss the way I felt with my ex. But reading all these posts makes me feel better that I'm not alone. I'm not the only one completely hurt and vulnerable. So thank you.

    I love this song. It currently describes my situation with my ex boyfriend. We had everything planned it was me and him! It's so hard to see everyone at school at school and not cry. I have no idea what brought this on I thought we were stronger and could deal with anything that life threw at us! I miss him alot! I know what I feel and I know it's real. But I love this song beacuse I want to know what made me unbeautiful and what made him want to not work through stuff. But that's selfish of me to say. I just want him to be happy and if that's not with me. I hope he finds what he's looking for.

    This song is so sad because it sounds to me that this girl and guy and the guy promised they would be together for ever but then its like it didn't matter when he lost feelings for her. Then she went through this hard break up by blaming it on herself and wondering what she did wrong when its not her fault. And then in denial wishing it were a dream.

    I think that the song means that they both promised eachother never to let go
    but the guy changed his mind and gave up she was heartbroken and confused but she believed they were never gonna break up and that no1 could get in thier way. But she was wrong she gets told to move on but its hard. Then she prenteds its fake but its not its d truth. By covering it up she says its a deam.

    I think what the song meant is that both of them promised to hold on with each other and fight against all odds, when all of a sudden the guy changed his mind and let go. The girl was confused of why it suddenly happened and what was the reason why he did it. But then, she just realized that it's just a dream.
    A really nice song. I really could relate to it.

    I think this song goes to all who lovers who once were fighting against the world to saty together. They promised to stay near when the world was pushing them apart and was determined to have eachother no matter what, but all the sudden things have changed and you wonders why, you're confused that the guy of your dream forsaked you and you now wonder what you did wrong, what made you unbeautiful and you think its was all a dream. Man I write 2 much! : D
