If you've ever watched lady gaga's interview on ellen, then you should very well know that gaga strictly said that in her song "marry the night" it's about taking in all those bad things in life, night, darkness, (obviouisly they're not positive things like sunshine and daylight) so it's basically saying, don't take life as a negative thing! "the night" and "the dark" seem to have a connection and these two terms seem to be supported by "i'm a sinner". The song appear to be filled with bitterness and regret. It is a sad song.

I think there is a slightly deeper meaning to this song than "have fun and live your life to the fullest. " the video's intro is longer than the song itself (and it helps with deciphering the meaning, go watch it!). I think by "marry the night" she means to embrace all the bad experiences in her past and to continue to embrace them in her future; doing this will free her from them. The song has an element of masochism and destruction, which I think highlights her ultimate point: you should do what truly fulfills you personally, no matter how normal or how sick it appears to other people. In the video, she was an artist who fulfilled herself by passionately pursuing her utmost desire, art. She did this in ways that may seem crazy or destructive to many people, but that is completely irrelevant to her because she satisfied the main desire of her heart.

Interesting how the saying "the cross is my anchor" is written backwards and inversed in the video. The anchor is my cross, if I remember correctly. She is being pullled down to the depths, to hell basically.

Comon people, watch the official video. She explains it pretty clearly. Marrying the night? She had to give up all her values, what she stood for, all that mattered, basically get a lobotomy (like all the girls that are with her in the psych ward), in order to become a success and get records deals. The video shows her giving up on ballet (reps true art) in order to learn to street dance and do the "popular" thing that sells records.
There probably is also the double-entendre that she had to sell her soul to the dark side, and yes, all the intentional symbolism of the masons and illuminatii only serve to reinforce this, . And keep us talking. So I'm probably just falling for the trap. But not as much as 99% of you fools. It most certainly doesn't just stand for having a good time at a late-night party. Sheesh.

Lady gaga finally hit her low point in her life- when she was dropped from her label and when she was struggling with drugs and darkness in her life- and she decided to pick herself up and try harder. She decided that she would be married to what she loved: music. It has nothing to do with the devil or brainwashing the youth or anything like that. Germanota has said that this is her most autobiographical song/video to date. It's "part of the story i never told you. "
Germanota was dropped by her first label before being picked up by interscope. From the prelude a pathetique we can surmise that she may of have also had an abortion or some other surgery given the nurse's comment "no intimacy for two weeks. "
In part it's about her journey of discovery and everything she went through during that time.
I'm expecting her to provide us with another part of this story later.
The most important thing I think (or at least hope) for gaga and everyone is that we take away a meaning that helps us. Gather from the song what you will, the great thing about music is that we can all find a different meaning in the best songs.
