Kesha – Die Young lyrics
I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums
Oh what a shame that you came here with someone
So while you're here in my arms
Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young

We're gonna die young!
We're gonna die young
!

Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young

[Beat break]

Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young

Young hearts, out our minds
Running til' we outta time
Wild child's lookin' good
Livin' large just like we should
Don't care who's watching when we tearing it up (you know)
That magic that we got nobody can touch (for sure)

Looking for some trouble tonight
Take my hand, I'll show you the wild side
Like it's the last night of our lives
We'll keep dancing till we die

I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums
Oh what a shame that you came here with someone
So while you're here in my arms,
Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young

We're gonna die young!
We're gonna die young!

Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young

[Beat break]

Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young

Young hunks, taking shots
Stripping down to dirty socks
Music up, gettin' hot
Kiss me, give me all you've got
It's pretty obvious that you've got a crush (you know)
That magic in your pants, it's making me blush (for sure)

Looking for some trouble tonight
Take my hand I'll show you the wild side
Like it's the last night of our lives
We'll keep dancing till we die

I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums
Oh what a shame that you came here with someone
So while you're here in my arms,
Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young

I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums
Oh what a shame that you came here with someone
So while you're here in my arms
Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young

We're gonna die young!
We're gonna die young

Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young

Yet another song about dancing, s**, beats, some combination thereof, and not caring about one's own mortality. Come on, people. There is a place for fun in life, but what about more significant things like death (aside from being cowardly indifferent toward it), meaning, purpose, God, etc. Stop propelling the bandwagon of shallow hedonism in this country. Create something more significant. Devotion to pleasure blinds you to the deeper things of life and it leaves you hating those who try to get you to see it is empty.

Thanks for the replies, Jesus and Thirda. Thirda, I think the matter of whether or not God exists is very relevant to what I wrote because of the issue of morality. I'm not saying that those who don't believe in God can't be moral people. However, many people have a really difficult time logically defending any sort of objective morality that they can impose upon others if they don't believe in God. Basically, no God means no objective morality; everybody is just choosing what is right and wrong. If you want to impose moral standards upon others, or expect them to obey certain moral standards, or even reject another set of morals (like saying that rape is okay), God has to be in the mix. Otherwise it's just a matter of one subjective opinion set against another subjective opinion. That is one reason whether or not there is a God matters. Something to think about.

This song is about how Ke$ha is with a guy and trying to snag him from his date. And she's dancing with him like they're gonna die young, and btw, Ke$ha was forced to sing the lyrics 'were gonna die young" she didn't want to but she had to. And yes. There is a verse imposing that they had six, but that doesn't mean u can still judge her. Still, it's wrong and I agree. It's al about morality. You don't wanna go out with your butt alpha going out, but ipu also don't want to be made fun of. So u choose fashion, over morality which in my opinion is a stupid mistake. U cam still a trend center and still have morality. But about God existing. God does exist, and many ask, "if Gods alive, then why does all these bad things happen? " Well. It's simple. God gives us the choice to go to heaven or to hell. He gives us freedom, or else we'd be just tied down. If we go to hell, God gives us the choice. Now back to the song. Kesha is a sweet girl, but throws her time down the drain sometimes. She can sing the best songs about partying for parties, but in other songs she can just waste her time and money.
