This song's got me through so much in my life! I'm only 13 years old and I have flashdance at home and I watch it a lot! I'm irene cara's offical biggest fan. Flashdance. What a feelin', fame, and the dream (hold on to your dream) has got me through so much! What a feelin' is my favorite song ever. Everytime I have a hard time I just play this song and everything goes away. I love this song and always have.

Its about having a dream and making it a reality not letting your fears or pride get in the way of what you want to do. Its a really inspiring song. I really like the part where she sings "all alone i have cried silent tears full of pride" I think she is saying maybe she was upset because at first she got rejected for a job she wanted because the world can turn you down or be " steel and stone". Later in the song she gains confidence and pursues her dreams.
