This song shows that they both like to dream big and would want to achieve it as that stars are the big dreams that are aiming to each and they want to get that. Clearly, they want to be number one and they're up for whatever it takes to be there. Now, 'kicking and scratching' embodies the hardship of getting there and you actually need to work in able to come far. Even in the hardest time of the rough journey to success, you have to give your all and do your very best. They are intact willing to risk just to be at the top of that ladder. They worked hard enough for the competition and seems quite confident in showing of what they have got. They want their performance to be just grandeur to blow our minds and see how outstanding it is. Yeah, they're gonna work that hard to just bust that rhythm out.

It may also show how they want to be just as successfully since they are intact wealthy and Sharpay seems to be all that. They know it', $ more than just pure talent because they are gonna be working hard to have their parents proud. They are gonna show the world bow they really ate and they mean business when it comes to the thing they love and have a passion for.

The song bop to the top, sung my sharpay and ryan evans, is a reference to the social climbers of jane austen's society. The spanish lyrics represents the almost invasion of napoleon bonaparte even though he was french. The lyrics 'bop to the top' portray the desire for social climbers to be at the top of the social heirarchy. The song clearly shows the audience that social climbers would do anything to reach the top as seen in the lyrics "anything it takes to climb the ladder of success". The lyrics 'shake your booty and turn around' refers the courtship dances performed at balls in this era to attract a potential mate.
