A girl has to move away from someone who loves her. She doesn't realize how much he needs her with him and that he would do anything for her. She leaves him, but he still keeps fighting and waiting for her. He would do anything to have her again. And even though there might be miles between them. There love is measured my the heart and by the love they share/ shared.

Everyone has a meaning to a song, maybe the meaning is a girls first love. The love that she lost and the promise that she never let go! When I hear this son I don't think of the same la I think of louisana where my heart still lays! Engaged to an army man we promised to never give up no matter the miles he was my heart, my sun my moon and my shining star! I would never give up on him! When I hear this I remember when we were young and in love and the world could never get in the way! It reminds me of young, brighter days!
