    I hear it as in a relationship. It gives and take. Give me some rope and don't smother me room but also wants to pull her back close at the same time. Maybe a lil love and hate! Agree with another, it's about commitment and balance of the good and bad.
    Disagree with another that he is stealing from cobain. Might have learned a lot collaborating with him but ff is not grunge nirvana!
    Plus, give the guy credit for being in 2 great rock bands. Most go away to never be heard from again. Something to be said for striking lightning twice.
    Lastly, I know kurt was nirvana, but there may be something to dave being a major contributor to one of the greatest rock bands of all time. If not, he was hell of a drummer. Now hell of guitarist and frontman!

    I need you so much you need to help me. But I need you so much you need to give me some rope so I can hang myself. I need you so much I need you in order to continue on. But I need you so much I can't continue. Kind of a suicide song. Not my favorite theme. But I love this song because it depicts what most people go through at one time or another.

    This song is about a relationship where both of people know it's going to end- they both want it to end, but they can't make the break. It's not good but they can't stand to be apart- they push each other away, and they pull each other apart- but then they also pull each other up when the other one needs the other. One thing is true about this song is this: the drums are awesome!
