This happens to ya when ya chose to follow a banner (no matter the symbol of that banner) and not your heart. The generals and politicians will tell ya its about fighting for freedom, when its rather fighting for someone elses money. Those who speak of the importance of sacrifice are never willing to sacrifice themselves, or their own sons. Its always someone else, someone easily fooled, who have to pay the price.

It's a song by an Irish woman who meets her former lover. After their illegitimate child was born, the lover ran away and became a soldier. He was badly disfigured, losing his legs, his arms, his eyes fighting on the island of "Sulloon", or Ceylon (now known as Sri Lanka). In spite of all this, the woman says, she is happy to see him and will keep him on as her boyfriend.
