Dark Sanctuary was a French Dark Atmospheric band formed in 1996 in Paris, Île-de-France. The band's first official release was a 20 minute single track MCD, Funeral Cry, released in 1997. At that time, the band only consisted of two members, Arkdae on keyboards and Marquise Ermia on vocals.
