    These lyrics are a direct depiction of why this album is called "Love Yourself: Tear", meaning you don't always love just yourself. You can love other people and may end up getting hurt, hence why there's the word Tear in the album title. You can get hurt and cry and you can give up your happiness for someone else's if that's what makes you happy. Just know that you may get hurt. You may end up falling head over heels for someone who doesn't love you in return. In the end, you have yourself that you need to love. Or, if you decide that you love someone else more than yourself, don't get lost in them, don't cry. Don't shed a tear for someone who doesn't deserve it. I know this explanation is very repetitive, but it's true. I can't stress enough that bts is telling you that you must love yourself. Love yourself. Don't love anyone else more than you love yourself. And I know this is a long explanation for a single line, but that must be the reason they chose to show us this one in the song. It is a very powerful lyric that shows that you may get hurt if you love someone else before you love yourself. Just love yourself.

    I feel like the song is dedicated to ARMY's ...why i say so?bec in the first stanza it is like bts pretend to be happy even if they are sad but because they dont want to hurt armys so they pretend to be happy,,,in the second stanza they want to be a model to armys,so they created a world that armys and bts only exist because of pretending giving so much happines and love they forgot who they are...in fourth stanza bec they love armys so much they erase themselves and they become puppet,,They follow what armys always want...in fifth stanza,"Who changed into ‘I’ you used to like

    This song represents a dark side of love,beautifully.It says that love is such a sting emotion either way that if you are lucky enough in love,your life is not less than heaven otherwise everyday is a mere regret.My hobby is to write poems if I were to describe it through my poetry I'd just say:FOR ALL THOSE TIMES HEARTS SHATTER,AN EYE IS FILLED WITH TEAR,A HEART IS FILLED WITH FEAR

    There's more to it than just a sad love song singing about a breakup or 'fake love' - its dedicated to and can be interpreted in multiple aspects, just like all of BTS songs. The 'Love Yourself' series is a reflection of current society as people, especially young people, are focusing more on fulfilling other people's expectations and losing themselves. We are spending more time to fulfill other people's expectations of ourselves and worrying about not being able to meet those standards, rather than spending time on ourselves to make yourself feel good or simply being happy to be who you are. The message behind BTS's group name, standing up for the young people and becoming a voice for them has not changed. They are still voicing out the struggles of young people in their teenage years or twenties, and this song is the most accurate representation of current social struggles on self-love. So, my fellow ARMYs, please remember their message: love yourself. Love yourself before you love someone else, because otherwise, it's FAKE LOVE.

    I also believe the lyrics could be representative to their relationship with ARMY, they wear the mask , not sure how much truth they can reveal without risking their livelihood , their fans that they love, and fear of fans being disappointed in their true selves.What they don't realize I believe is that their fan base is quite phenomenal, diverse and accepting and large enough to withstand whatever truths without collapsing.
    At some point you have to risk honesty in order to live for yourself and I would hope fans would not be so selfish as to deny this to them .
    Adoration, although wonderful , is not true love with substance , substance only comes with truth otherwise it's fake love.

    I think the meaning of this song means that, the Bts members had Past girlfriends, and one day, they couldn't protect her, and the gf was gone and dead. And they are trying to hide those Past Memories, but, the memories got up with them and they can't escape the Memory of their close friend/lover, so now it's Fake love, since the memories are buried in their Past, and they were hiding their true sadness, and now they feel like they can't escape; it's like a curse for their hearts, and btw, I cried so much when I heard this song, I hope they find their True happiness some day, remember bts that we; The true armies will always be by ur side.

    I fully understand why it is call "Love Yourself" We need to love ourselves but that doesn't mean we can't love someone else. Example: Care too much, you lose them. Care too little, you'll be left out. We should not love someone else more than ourselves. This song "Fake Love" made by BTS was perfect. The lyrics had super deep meanings. Loving other people more than overselves can lead us ending up getting hurt too much. We must love ourselves more than anyone else, but that doesn't mean we should ignore our lovers.     When I listened to this song and I watched the video, I nearly cried ( maybe I shed a tear or two but it is none of your business ) and I tried to understand this song. My meaning of it is maybe BTS had girlfriends in the past and they could not protect them well enough, so the girlfriends left them. So maybe FAKE LOVE is about those girls whom they could not protect well and the girls just left them like that. Is that considered FAKE LOVE?

    In the lines, " love you so bad, love you so bad," the reverse sounds like:

    " HELP US NOW, HELP US PLEASE."

    at least that was what a video tried to say so maybe it is true? I don't know but it is sort of creepy... oh well..
