I like to think of the lyrics in a more meaning way of how he pyramids in Egypt were built I like to imagine he spoke his words in meaning to the pyramids of Egypt by saying stiff necked fools as the leaders who ruled over the slave and in saying the ‘Yes you have got the wrong interpretation’ as the meaning of there were no slaves that built the towers only craftsmen ‘and take jah sun’ sun dail clock ‘jah moon, moon dail ‘ and ‘jah rain’ to make the sandstone and ‘jah stars’ as there end goal to reach the stars I like to also imagine and forever yes ‘erase your fantasy’ as to not dream but to act upon it’ the lips of the richeous heeds many but fools die for want of wisdom’ As the people of Egypt wanted to know what was beyond the sky or even in search of a better place then just sand and heat I’d like to imagine this stuff is what he was explaining in a deep theoretical way or maybe I’m the one misinterpreted.

Sound lines, sound lyrics,bob was not speaking of the events of his day only in that master piece of a song,he delved deep into the past ,present -now and the existing trends persisting now which if not not corrected will leap into the future,yes,those who amass to themselves right of rule over the simple are the stiff necked fools.......characterised with insensitivity to what ever is good - value to humanity, they're in people, structure, institution and policy.

I think Marley is speaking about two distinctive issues facing our society today. The first is the oppression by the colonial masters who deny the people of political and economic freedom. They were stiff-necked in understanding the plight of the common man. The second is about the lack of love for humanity as expressed in todays world where wealth and earthly riches are popularize as the end thing. He is preaching about religious freedom and assuring the oppressed that their wealth is in servitude to God and not the love of vanity.
