My meaning to not alone is that when you have someone that feels the same about you as you feel about them and you have such a strong connection that even if youre far away, you feel as if youre not alone. But even when they are just holding your hand or you look at them or see them across the way, youre not alone. And every sad, depressing, lonely, empty thought that once was is no more because you have them and you have them. This song reminds me of my boyfriend.

I completely agree with both of the above, my thoughts are as a spiritual uplifting song, the energy is amazing and love the vocal changes between scream to absolutely powerful voice, I relate to him as there are times I question faith but then see it for my own eyes.

Phil labonte will go on record saying he is an atheist. This is even after the first record, behind silence and solitude, in which he wrote "from these wounds i claim redemption" as well as other spiritual themes. The next album, this darkened heart, he then wrote "this darkened heart betrays what i have always held so dear". This song can mean anything to you. I believe in the knowing I am never alone through my lord.
